Freelance TYA Director

In 2019 I discovered my passion as an artistic theatre director for young audiences. I had a dream to make a show inspired by an illustrated children book and I did it. Thanks to residencies, project awards and bursary awards I was able to direct and produce my first complete project called “The Word Factory”. I am now working on the idea of a new show. I’m going to write the story, devise it with performers and direct it. I loved the full process of directing: from the very early stages to the premiere. I have acquired so much experience as I looked at all the aspects: from casting, set designing, music composing to selling it to venues and festivals. The part of the process that I have most enjoyed was directing performers based on my intuitive vision. I usually start the process with ice-breaking games where passions and natural talents emerge. I prefer working with Physical Theatre styles, sound composers, shadow puppets and live music.

I am happy to collaborate as a freelance Artistic Director and Producer in TYA for Projects and Shows aimed to children from 4 to 10 years old. In Galway, in Ireland and abroad. I manage my own taxes (and my own insurance if necessary).

Teatroletta Theatre Company

Teatroletta is an independent theatre company. When well funded, it includes theatre practitioners, circus performers, musicians, set designers, composers and producers. Teatroletta was born in 2019 from the need to make funny inclusive work for children and their families.
