Circus Workshop

I provide Circus Workshops to schools, community groups and events.  I have facilitated many projects in different schools and organizations, including programs with the Galway Community Circus, Brothers of Charity, Scoil Bhride, Claregalway Secondary School, Brigit’s Garden, Youth Work Ireland, Cruinniú na nÓg, etc etc.

My aim is to bring this inspirational, colorful and inclusive world to you.

Experience learning many different skills such as:

  • Juggling (with Balls, Scarves, Rings, Clubs, and even Binbags!)
  • Spinning (Poi, Plates, Toothbrushes!)
  • Balancing (Balancing items on hands, fingertips, etc)
  • Manipulating (Flowersticks, Diabolo, Hats)

These Circus Skills Workshops are all custom-tailored.  They are ranging from the “Tester Session” where pupils will get a chance of trying every prop to the “How to Juggle” or “Show Based” sessions where in a longer time they learn to manipulate objects and working on preparing a show for the final day or for a later event. The last one is ideal for Schools and Camps looking for something “a bit different”.

Duration: A workshop is best to run for at least 1hr but can be stretched to an entire School day (eg 9am-3.30pm) with the same pupils gaining good skills with a variety of props.

Capacity: I can manage up to 20 participants at a time. To be fair on the participants, I would generally request that at least one or two other adults (such as teachers) are present during the whole session. They are more than welcome to simply participate in the sessions (and have lots of fun learning also), and just be available should they be required for any reason. If you have more than 20 participants, then we could perhaps run several workshop sessions back to back (this could mean reducing a 2hr session to 2 x 1hr workshops, or adding an extra session).

Cost: Please get in touch and I can send a quote or price list once I know your requirements.
