Hi,
My name is Maria Auletta. I am based in Galway.
Since I was a child I have been attracted to human minds and social dynamics among groups. I am an only child and this gave me the opportunity to spend long hours on my own that I used for reflecting, training my imagination and keeping diaries.
When I grew up to be a teenager my main dream was moving out and traveling for the rest of my life and exploring what was different for me.
While studying Sociology and Anthropology at the University of Naples in Italy I became fascinated by the rituals that different tribes from around the world use on a regular basis. What really sparked my interest was the element of playfulness in these rituals, and the element of movement.
Laughter, play and dance, a flow of authenticity.
Since then I decided to become a Circus performer and facilitator and to deliver these skills workshops in Corporations and Schools. Since 2020 I moved towards Theatre for Young Audiences. I researched flow into movement, vulnerability into clowning and groundedness into being a mother.
